The "V Road Sprint Duathlon (5-20-2,5) Igualada City", has become in just four years in which most participants meets in Catalonia and located among the most numerous in Spain. This is the result of the great effort made by the organizers to leave everything perfect. More than 450 registrants had the test, although only about 400 ended by rain a few hours before the competition hit Catalonia and made many of those already targeted not turn up. Roger Rock and Tamara Gomez, both local Cerrado Igualada team were the winners in male and female categories respectively.
Alex Casablancas Swimming Club Sitges over the "sprint" with Iñaki Baldellou Club Manresa Triathlon and between them played the 2nd and 3rd place in the Under 23 Category. Unfortunately for the victory Sitgetans took Iñaki, although the official time is the same for both. Alex finished in 15th place overall in a competition where the level that existed between the participants was very high.
The Sitges Swimming Club was represented by 20 duathletes who have made a great performance not only individually but also as a group and that together with the local team (Cerrado Igualada), have been the two entities with more participants.
